Nhambavale Lodge

The place, the people, the location, the attention from the staff is 5 star. It may be because it was not full but definitely they are very very friendly.

Not that I didn't like it, but what I could do differently, it is rustic, is good but because it was a period of lots of energy cuts, we got a point of being without electricity up to 7pm, so for the common areas like toillet, the lamps on the the way to your house the camping etc., I think that they should have solar powered lamps.

the location, it is so peaceful, very authentic as we like. a lot of birds around , trees, you can kayak on the lake, swim... even the 30mins dirt road to the lodge is a Lovely adventure. we love it and would come back again when we are in chidenguele.

I am not sure there is hot water in the shower, it was more like room temperature. good when it's hot outside though.

The property is exactly as listed online. We had a lovely staying with very nice people who took good care of us.

The staff were so friendly and the RnR’s are amazing. We just got married and spent our first official night in Mozambique at this stunning spot. We had a seafood platter overlooking the lake while the sun was going down!

Although we knew we were booking a reed cottage.We did not expect to each sleep under 3 duvets because there are no windows and it was freezing at night.Also loud music from locals way too loud and their burning fires,smoke very strong in our bedroom,cottage(not the hosts fault).Drive there pretty bad to almost impassable in a car.I had a 4 x 4 and experienced so no issue.But if coming in a car.Dont you will probably get stuck in the sand.Even a simple....having to reverse when another vehicle comes along will have you stuck.That said I must point out this was not a place we would go back to.However thats us.I can see and believe many many people would have a blast and really enjoy this place as the feviews will testify too, especially campers and those that want loud music and lots of alcohol in the bar and a party.So please make your own mind up.As its not a bad place .Just not for us

This was such a lovely break in our travels up the coast. The location is just stunning. Beautiful green gardens sloping down to a crystal clear lake.A lovely beach area to chill on and a friendly restaurant from which to watch amazing sunsets. The chalets are very spacious. Basic but great value for money .
