Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge

Location is great as you are in the middle of the Kalahari desert. You are free to walk around in the dunes and spot some game on your own. You can also book a game drive but can't comment as we didn't have time to do it. The dinner was great and very romantic (candle lit dinner and bonfire). Staff was really nice.

This was our second visit and it lived up to our memory. It's located in beautiful red dunes and is very beautiful and peaceful. The staff is wonderful and the meals were lovely. Bonus this year are the roads in are better maintained than before, We would definitely return again if in the area.

There was nothing not to like but they do seem to get more tour groups than most lodges we stay at. Not a negative since it is usually the beginning of their tours and they are still quiet and getting to know each other.

It was our 1st night in Africa, and after longway from europe it is perfect place for staying. We most recomend their Game drive (Start's at 4pm)! On our trip around africe it was maybe best Game drive what we saw. Friendly staff, tasty dinner and breakfast, comfortable beds.

Well we stayed here for the 7th time in 10 years. That explains quiet a lot if not all. A beautiful place in the red dunes of Kalahari desert.

Such a stunning setting and one of our favourite stays in Namibia. Lovely staff, great bar, restaurant and pool. Really hope to come back one day, thank you.

Perfect scenery in the middle of Kalahari Desert with red sand and wild animals kept in a private reserve. The main lodge is cosy and beautifully designed with woods and the pool meets the needs. We were only 6 guest in total so I guess when fully booked can feel a bit less intimate. Very big rooms excellent equipped with A/C and bathroom. Lovely dinner by the Boma and friendly efficient staff. Recommend all the activities on offer very much worth the price.

Stayed only one night in the final leg of the trip if stayed longer would have spent the whole trip budget on this accomodation

Lovely lodge in a private game reserve in the Kalahari desert - we enjoyed it a lot! Nice staff they where very kind and funny - we had a great stay there!!

Since the entrance from the main gate the experience ha been great: you drive 10min in a beautiful reserve to reach the lodge. We receive a warm welcome from the staff and did our check-in quickly. The room is a full bungalow, immerse in the nature. The room is big, clean with a great bed: best sleep in Namibia. The dinner was good and prepared under the stars with a fireplace in the middle of the yard. Very nice pool to chill. Good breakfast. We had a great time!

wonderful location amongst the red Kalahari dunes, great value for money and providing everything needed for a fantastic couple of days
