"Not as Advertised."

It was convenient for purposes, the room was spacious and clean. Host was friendly. The location is beautiful in the forest and bird life plentiful - lovely birdsong in am.

This is not a Lodge it is a home stay - a family home. More amenities such as a safe, compendium, coffee and tea in the room rather than use the family kitchen need to be provided. We felt uncomfortable and did not use lounge as it was clearly a family home, being used by the owners and we felt intrusive. One of the reasons we booked was a pool (for exercise after a knee injury) and although it was peak summer the pool cover was on, so not conducive to being used and we did not use it. Breakfast was available at at additional cost as was dinner. We stayed three nights - no welcome amenity, not even a biscuit with a cup of tea during stay - unusual in New Zealand.
