Motswari Private Game Reserve by NEWMARK

Motswari for us was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Basically, you enter a different world when you arrive at the Lodge; the beautiful setting, the fantastic room with the terrace view, the food but above all the friendliness of the staff, who could not do enough to make our stay such a memorable experience. Then the daily safari with our guides Erik & Difference who shared their knowledge with us and showed us all the magnificent animals in their natural habitat. But what made it so special was the fun we had along the way. Thank you to all the staff for this wonderful experience.

Everything about this property was perfect. The room was stunning. The property grounds were beautiful as well. I genuinely loved staying here and would stay here again without any hesitation. The staff was also incredible and the food was the best I ever had at any resort stay.

Absolutely nothing.

The facilities here are fantastic — the pool, lodge, and rooms are all wonderful. But what truly made this trip were the safaris, and that comes down to our tracker Tabu and driver Noel. Both are absolutely exceptional and you can tell they genuinely care about giving guests the best possible experience. Tabu did some seriously impressive tracking to locate a rhino for us, and when I jokingly told Noel I wanted to see a baby cub — even though sightings had been rare — he raced us across the reserve the moment word came in. We got to see it. That's the kind of dedication that turns a great trip into an unforgettable one. 10/10 — and I hope whoever stays next gets assigned to their car!

We stayed two nights and it was so memorable. We had the best guide and tracker - Josh and David - we even saw a leopard up close TWICE because of their good work. They are so knowledgeable and talented. The food is just to die for and the rooms are so beautiful, we had the Buffalo room facing the room and didn‘t want to leave. There were only six of us in the safari vehicle, which was roofless (amazing immersive experience) - that was very, very comfortable. From the moment you arrive to the minute you leave you‘re so well taken care of, they think of your every need and the staff is just amazing. The rooms gets cleaned twice a day and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom, the whole room actually, was spotlessly clean. We saw loads of animals up close (Big 5!) and the game drives were so much fun. Every morning and evening you stop for a break in a beautiful location and they serve you drinks/coffee and some snacks. If it’s your first time on Safari - or first time in South Africa - and you’re unsure about which camp to stay at, as was I (and I did a lot of research myself) - come here and just enjoy. I promise you, you won‘t regret it!! It‘s amazing beyond words! Thank you Motswari, we‘ll be back for sure!

Everything was about this stay was amazing! Great staff and food offerings. I would highly recommend to plan a stay at this lodge. The staff made the stay extra special. They are kind and courteous - this needs to be emphasized!

Everything about Motswari is wonderful. The rooms are all comfortable and private, the staff (from cleaners, to chefs, to waiting staff, to the guides) were all incredible and made us feel so relaxed. All the meals provided were delicious and plenty. Only having WiFi in the communal area is a great idea and helped us disconnect and relax fully whilst there.
