Kings Grant Country Retreat

Dinner was delicious.

We booked a room specifically with a kitchenette and fridge, as this was essential for our stay. Instead, we were “upgraded” to a room that was in noticeably poor condition. The entrance door was old, had a visible hole at the bottom, and there were mosquitos in the room . When we requested to be moved, we were placed in a room that did not include the kitchenette or fridge we originally paid for. This was a downgrade from what we booked. The room amenities were also prepared for only one person. We requested additional towels, but none were provided, despite multiple attempts. To make matters worse, there was no one available to answer calls at night, leaving us without support when we needed it. These issues significantly affected our stay and did not reflect the standard we expected based on our booking. On a positive note, dinner was delicious and we appreciated the quality of the food.

the staff was very effiecient and helpful.They were very helpful.

The breakfast meat was not the freshest, it was sour on both days. But the staff assisted and tried to remedy the problem.

The dirt road getting there! Plays havoc on normal vehicles. Ideal for bakkies and 4x4s.
