Alles ziemlich runter gerockt, nachdem es geregnet hatte war alles ein wenig klamm. Frühstück war ok, aber nichts besonderes. Unserer bitte keinen roomservice zu machen wurde nicht nachgekommen.

Bathroom had a sligthly unpleasant smell

We stayed in the garden cottage which was spacious and clean. There is a fireplace inside and a bath and a shower. The bed was comfortable and there are two outdoor seating areas. They came in every day to clean.

Value for money wise this property is not worth it. We specifically booked a room with a braai and the staff came rolling in with the braai an hour later after we requested it and took it away again for other guests to use. The staff were unprepared for our arrival and could not even locate our room key. There seems to be a lack of clear job duties as we dealt with multiple people who did not even introduce themselves. The cottage is squeezed into the back and there was a sewer smell at the back patio all the time. The room is also located next to what looked like a rubbish disposal site. There is private parking for the cottage but it is incredibly difficult to reverse out of. The breakfast was average at best and only served until 9:30. Some people like to sleep a bit later on holiday. The location is also just too far away from the village centre to walk to quickly and no options were made available for my lactose intolerance at breakfast.

Friendly staff, lovely modern rooms, spacious cottage, fabulous dinner and breakfast. Great location.

A pity we didn't have proper filter coffee for the price we paid. This should be standard. Some furniture needs replacing (bed in loft and sofa on patio at cottage, Aircon repairs).
