Liptov Lodge

We really liked the cozy ambiance of the lodge and its Irish pub. Ida was very welcoming, and the continental breakfast with homemade jams and soda bread was delicious.

Die Besitzerin war schon freundlich.

Das Frühstück wurde schon am Abend zuvor in den SB Kühlschrank gestellt (dadurch sind Gurke und Paprika schon abgetrocknet an den Schnittstellen) Beim Frühstück keine Butter, keine Marmelade. Ich musste sogar den Kaffee selber machen ohne richtige Kaffeemaschine. Man musste schon am Eingang die Straßenschuhe ausziehen und dann mit den Strümpfen in den 2. Stock hoch gehen. Die Besitzer machen es sich da schon ein bisschen einfach und schauen nur dass es für sie einfach ist. Und das für 70,00€ pro Nacht und Person, nicht am Wasser oder sonst an einer interessanten Stelle.

Host was super nice, everything clean, honesty bar something I didn't expect. Highly recommended.

We stayed here as a family of 4 - parents and teenage boys. We had 2 excellent rooms. The home was lovely, including the rooms and the social space downstairs- the breakfast area and the awesome honesty bar, plus the outdoor space. The breakfast was excellent and very generous, including fresh homemade soda bread and cakes! Best of all, the hosts live next door and are a lovely Irish / Slovak family. They were very friendly and always happy to advise on activities and places to go. That was greatly appreciated and really helped us to make the most of our time. The local area has beautiful countryside and walks, plus places like huge caves (amazing) and you can get a cable car up Chopok mountain for an excellent walk on the top.

The local town of Liptovsky Mikulas is mainly a place to visit for supplies or a meal rather than being a destination itself. Beware the local police- they are world class wheel-clamping champions. This is probably because the area is very safe, with very low crime, so they have to find something to do. Just make sure to use Google translate to decipher road signs around where you park, and you should be fine. Don't forget to get an e-vignette for the Slovak motorways- it's about €10 for 10 days from the official website.

Vše v pořádku, moc doporucuji všem , super samoobsluzny bar, kde si můžete natočit i pivo a usmevava pani majitelka.
