Mook Bamboo Bungalows

Beautiful grounds with flowers and butterflies. Comfortable bungalows. The best part was the hospitality from Kookai and her family. She arranged all of our transport between islands and the airport— it was fast, well priced and hassle-free can’t recommend this place enough. Absolutely fantastic customer care. Easy to get anywhere on the island for just 50baht per person, they have a little motorcycle taxi at the hotel we never had to wait could easily pop into town whenever we wanted. Walking distance to lovely Charlie beach.

La vegetazione

Bungalow vecchi, sporchi senza nessuna comodità, c'era un vecchio divano...anche la colazione lasciare a desiderare, il bar sciatto e sporco.

Koh Mook is not as developed as the more touristy islands north, but incredibly charming and peaceful. We had a wonderful time here, a few minutes from the gorgeous Charlie Beach. We first had a smaller bungalow that was a bit basic, but then changed to a very comfortable bigger one with air condition, which was definitely worth it. The setting and gardening are very pretty. Special praise goes to Kookai, the leading lady of the place, who was always cheerful, helpful, no-nonsense, and to everyone else on the very friendly staff. Also the food was great at absolutely reasonable prices.

Only minor point: it was sort of surprising that the fairly big 3 person bungalow had no closet or shelves for clothing. We used the extra bed, so it was no problem, but for three people it could get a bit crowded.
