We loved the farm. So beautiful & well run. Winnie was very helpful & friendly and went out of her way.

Very nice venue and quiet with excellent views. Awesome place to take break from busy lifestyle. Very nice dams to fish and walking distance from accomadation. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The estate was breathtaking when we drove in, I was in awe, so my expectations were high for the house (Mooi Lodge) we rented. The host Desi, did go out of her way to courier my glasses back to me in Pretoria which I do appreciate.

However, the house wasn't as great as I expected. There was loadshedding (which is understandable, but when there is loadshedding there is no water, which was very frustrating). I recommend that the host just put an emergency light in the house as it was pitch dark during the evenings without light. Also, there was a lot of fleas (which is also understandable because of the horses), but no flea candles or anything? The braai area needs to be upgraded. There is a huge garden with more than enough space for a stoep and bigger braai area, but the one provided is a few metres from the house and not very inviting.

The estate is beautiful on the outside.

We rented a room in homestead. Firstly we were over charged, R3400 per night for a room with a leaking toilet which they were not able to fix, so we had a leaking toilet throughout the duration of our stay, this is absolutely unacceptable. About 85% of the time we had no power, the generator was faulty, we were also told it could not be kept on during all the power failures. As a result we had no WiFi and no connectivity at all. This means we had no form of communication most of the time we were there. The door in our room was broken, we were locked into our room on two occasions because there was a problem with the door, as a result we had to leave our door open, not only unlocked but open because the owner could not fix it. The shower is extremely old and broken down, there is mould on the tiles and the shower curtain. This is the most horrible place I have ever stayed in. I wish I had remembered to take pictures to share what a nightmare this experience was.

The staff are extremely helpful that was the highlight of our trip

Everything else from the time we reached, you could never get through to anyone, phone signal terrible, no.proper signage. Office to check in was closed...when you got through to a number no one answered. Place in a bundu, nothing to do. I paid 6800 and was moved last minute into 2 tiny 1 bedroom almost shack like dwelling which was freezing. The bathroom leaked into the room if you can call that 6m x 6m dwelling. Wifi sucked while you had it and then it went off and you were literally stuck until the next morning. It rained so the place was full of mud couldn't take a walk or anything. Will never ever stay here again even if you paid me.....what a waste of our hard earned money. 2 days I can write off from my holiday.
