Gamagara Africa Private Nature Reserve

Beautiful place with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing.

We loved the facilities, food and the service from the kitchen staff. The game drive with Ike from the lodge, was the highlight of our stay. He is very educated and informed us about all the plants and game on the farm. The chef was very capable and treated us with a proudly South African Cuisine

Unfortunately you cannot do any self driving in the nature reserve and their vehicle was broken. Some maintenance and up keep is required at the lodge. The 11km dirt road is not in a great condition at the moment.

Chalets were spacious and clean Pool was nice and sparkling

No proper seating outside chalets although this is shown in pictures Seating that was provided was dirty from rain and dirt splashing up, this was never cleaned during our stay even though we did request for this to be cleaned when we checked in Staff having their own braai on the night we arrived in the same space used for guests Did not deliver according to promised Braai pack which was going to include game meat and "skilpadjies". Lamb tjop, chicken sosatie and boerewors featured. Game viewing vehicle was broken down General garden feel was a bit unkempt, lawn not mowed. Will not feel comfortable to recommend this property to anyone

Accommodation was great. Road to the lodge was not good. Dinner was very average. Breakfast was good.

The steak eaters reported that the dinner was very disappointing.

We loved everthing. The place, the service , the staff, the food yoh....... and mostly the vibe. It was amazing. The Manager Daniel is really an excellent host, very friendly and catered to all our needs. Just the only thing to bear in mind is that its strictly not self-catering but id recomend thr food. Its amazing
