Ranua Haistila Retreat with Elegant Views & Sauna near Rovaniemi

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is spotless clean, the kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed and the sauna was a great plus. It’s a quiet area to enjoy nature and relax.

We had the most fabulous time soaking up every second in this cosy, warm cabin. Waking up surrounded by silence, fluffy fresh snow and pure nature made our trip feel even more magical. The house had everything we needed, even sleds for the kids, and the sauna and fireplace made it extra special. It’s about an hour drive to Rovaniemi, which was perfectly manageable, though you do need to be confident driving on snowy roads. Ranua Zoo was very close by, and we also went sledding on the hill near the fuel station in Ranua.

It was a PERFECT one week stay in this cottage. My son, my wife and me were there from January 1st to February 5th. It was a dream. Very elegant furnished house, a lot of snow, 3 bedrooms, big living room, well equipped kitchen, and a wooden stove. Yes - its in the middle of nowhere (okay - 20min until the next supermarket), but I slept like a STONE (no cars, no pigeons, nothing, just complete silence). We did several excursions, planned and booked by the owners (ask them!!), private Santa Meeting (not that commercial thing in Santa village), reindeer farm visit with a walk, etc. I can HIGHLY recommend this cottage. Would book it again every time - until next year (since we have no snow in Austria we need to go Lappland :))) Thank you SO much for hosting us - it was a pleasure :)

In realtà abbiamo soggiornato a Villa Wikkela per indisponibilità di questa struttura, ma siamo stati benissimo, casa perfetta e con tutti i comfort

The house was perfect. Very comfortable Living room, hot saune, spacious bedrooms...so much better than expected. We even had a Christmas tree :-) The location is close to Ranua (15 minutes by car) and Rovaniemi (1 hour).

The property was spacious and clean with a fully functional kitchen. The surroundings were peaceful. Beds were comfortable

Only 1 toilet and no lock on shower room door. No space to hang up or fold clothes away (we sat out stuff on the spare bed) also not sure how 10 people were fitting but for out little family it was ideal

The property was very clean and designed with Nordic style. Also it is near the frost and river, easy to go picking berries and fishing. The kitchen is also fully equipped and so friendly to cook here.
