The staff were verry good and friendly ,the view and food was amazing

The location is little difficult,and there was not proper toilets amenities other than everything was fine

A lovely property in a beautiful setting high above Kandy. A nice place to relax away from the business city, the pool was especially nice and the staff were so helpful.

Nothing really, slightly limited menu choices but that was because there was a festival on in Kandy and we couldn’t really eat in the town. I would say just check before you go if you intend to eat at the hotel. However the food was delicious!

The stunning views, the sparkling clean room, the pool, and the food! Sanjeewa is an amazing cook, and I’ve eaten lots of Sri Lankan food here. A wonderful, friendly atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

Beautifully decorated, clean, elegant, spacious and bright. Nice terrace and big windows.

The hotel is lovely. Really peaceful location away from hustle & bustle of the city with AMAZING views. We had a dip in the pool when we arrived & also a nighttime swim. Pool was great. The food was freshly cooked to our order which was very delicious.

Nothing - everything was fantastic Just wish we could of stayed longer.

We loved our stay at 88th Hanthana. It’s up in the Richmond Hills so far away from the traffic jams and noise of Kandy. The views were wonderful and the service superb. The Sri Lankan dinner and the included breakfast were fabulous. Big portions and delicious.

The drive up to the property is narrow and winding. We had a driver so it was fine but could be a little scary in the dark or rain especially in a tuk tuk.

The manager and staff were excellent, very attentive and hospitable. The location is a double edged sword, great for the views and the peaceful surroundings. However being so far up the hill access is difficult and pick me drivers do not like taking fairs unless you pay double. The only real complaint is that as a family of 4 there are only two sun loungers. I must recommend eating the Sri Lanka set menu, it was fantastic and possibly one of the best I've had so far this trip.

These are the things we really liked about the 88th Hanthana: (1) It is calm, peaceful and secluded at the top of a hill, so it's a nice refuge away from the traffic noise down in the town. (2) Nice rooms, fabulous view, nice triangular pool with a view. (3) Huge breakfast and dinner, very carefully prepared. (4) Super attentive and helpful staff. (5) We had the place all to ourselves. These are the things we didn't appreciate as much: (1) Having to pay up front. We had to pay before we ever saw our room. (2) There were only 4 English channels on TV to choose from. (3) The food and drink choices are very limited. No alcoholic beverages available. (4) There are no female staff members. The 88th Hanthana is a men's world.

Really cute place which looks like a big house with a lovely restaurant and comfortable rooms, most welcome after a long day biking. Manager and staff were very welcoming and ensured our stay was smooth. Additionally, in the morning when we had issues with our bike, they assisted in getting us the needful help to continue our journey. Food was also really good. Thank you!

High up over Kandy had a nice peaceful feel to it. Immaculately clean and some of the best food we've had in Sri Lanka. Organised Tuk Tuk's for us at a great price. Had the most gorgeous puppy 'Angie' who we all loved.
