Chaehyodang Hanok Stay

It was great experience to stay there. Very nice and caring host, yes we had good conversations:) And a rich breakfast was served by the host.

La señora nos ha dejado tocar el instrumento coreano que se llama Gayageum y nos ha hecho las fotos bonitas. El sitio en general es muy muy bonito y tranquilo sin ruido! Volveremos😊

À quelques km du centre de Séoul, cet hôtel est situé dans un havre de paix, tout en restant accessible en bus et proche de restaurants et de petits commerces. Situé au sein d’un quartier de maisons Hanok et à quelques pas du parc de Bukhansan, notre séjour à tout simplement été parfait! Le Hanok de Mimi, notre hôte, est magnifique. La vue de la chambre est juste incroyable ! Mimi a tout fait pour notre confort : de nombreux produits de toilette mis à disposition, un petit déjeuner fait maison excellent et même une séance photo avec démonstration d’instrument de musique traditionnel coréen. Merci encore, Mimi, c’était tout simplement magique ! :)

We were amazed at the beauty of the location and place. The owner, Mimi, was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond with our needs.

While we were expecting traditional beds, they were about as thin as a comforter on a hard wood floor. It was a very tough two nights of sleep because of our fragile American bodies, but well worth it for the beauty, serene surroundings, and all else. If you’ve ever been camping, you know that the first night is always the hardest. Second night was a better night of sleep. We are also adjusting to the bathrooms with the shower attached to the sink.

Property is about 20 mins away by bus from the nearest metro station, followed by ~5 mins walk in. It’s an old style Korean house so the architecture is very interesting. The lady owner is very nice and gave us some hanboks to wear and even took pics for us. She also taught my daughters to play her Korean string instrument very briefly.

Basically you sleep on the floor with futons so it’s not the most comfortable.
