Isambane Camp

Ambiance très sympa, très bon accueil et service client, plats très qualitatifs et généreux, activités safari extraordinaires avec des guides ultra intéressants et très compétents !!

Wir haben eine Woche im Camp verbracht – und unsere hohen Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt, sondern sogar übertroffen. Die täglichen Pirschfahrten waren ein absolutes Highlight. Wir haben eine beeindruckende Vielzahl an Tieren gesehen und dabei nicht nur die „Big Five“ bewundern können, sondern auch viele andere faszinierende Tierbegegnungen erlebt. Dabei haben die Ranger uns auch viel Wissenswertes erzählt. Direkt am Pool des Camps tauchten immer wieder Elefanten und andere Tiere auf – ein einzigartiges Erlebnis in entspannter Atmosphäre. Das Camp selbst ist wunderschön in die Natur eingebettet und strahlt eine familiäre, herzliche Stimmung aus. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Nach jeder Pirschfahrt war unser Zimmer bereits frisch gemacht – ein Service, der uns sehr beeindruckt hat. Auch kulinarisch wurden wir rundum verwöhnt. Das Essen war durchweg hervorragend – abwechslungsreich, liebevoll zubereitet und absolut köstlich. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt eine perfekte Mischung aus Abenteuer, Erholung und Genuss. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder und bleiben länger.

The bush camp is amazing People working there are lovely and kind Safari are great...we saw lions, leopards, elefants and many others Elephants come to drink in the pool....it was an experience I really recommend going there Thank you so much for all

Das Isambane Camp war die absolut schönste Unterkunft unserer Südafrika Reise. Es gibt nur 4 Zimmer, so dass man es hier in Ruhe genießen kann. Emma hat uns wunderbar betreut und wir haben sie in unser Herz geschlossen 🥰 Eines Abends kam sogar eine riesige Elefantenherde zum Pool und zum Wasserloch 🥰 gerne wieder 😃

My low score is reflective of the fact that I was so unhappy with certain aspects that I checked out early but I must also point out the plus points – the bush cabin was very comfortable, lovely soft bedding (though extremely hot during the day and with only a fan, but it did cool down at night). The pool is lovely, very relaxing to sit round, and with a view of the water hole - I saw elephant, giraffe, impala, hyaena, warthog and several birds. The camp is very well maintained and tidy. The staff were really nice, Eunita, Gopolang the chef (you must try his elephant special), Angela and Shayna. I must also be fair and say that, having spoken at the time to the management team about my concerns below, they did offer to try and put things right, however by that point I had already made the decision to leave early.

On the strength of all the 5*reviews, I booked Isambane as a treat for myself for my 50th birthday. The reality though was very different and in summary, as a solo (but experienced) traveller coming to Isambane for the first time, I felt undervalued and excluded as a guest, the drives lacked variety, knowledge and information, were on occasion unsafe during stops and the driver (I use this word intentionally) came across as disinterested with no passion or understanding of guest experience (such as ensuring all guests on the very full vehicle could see at sightings). All in all I feel very far from being a member of the 'Isambane family' and was so unhappy during my stay that I checked out early on my birthday having to hastily book somewhere else for the remaining 24hrs before departing for my flight home. For one lunch, I was placed on a table tucked up next to the building whilst two larger groups of guests enjoyed water hole views from the edge of the decking. I therefore had to sit with their backs to me for the duration of my lunch, not a nice feeling at all. Our driver spent the drives with the radio glued to his ear with it chattering away, chasing round looking for lions and leopards. Every drive started and ended with going up and down the main entrance road, then looping round the same roads on the neighbouring reserve often going up and down the same roads more than once. There were smokers amongst the other guests, and every stop was spent in a cloud of cigarette smoke as they were permitted to smoke during stops and weren't asked to stand away from the rest of us. During other stops, our driver spent one showing us Youtube videos of elephants and buffalos attacking vehicles, another one sat away from us on his mobile phone. And on another, when we had been advised by another vehicle that there was a bull elephant in musth nearby, he disappeared walking off down the track leaving his guests all standing out of the vehicle!

The staff, accommodation, food and game drives were all excellent!!! We were comfortable, well looked after, and highly recommend Isambane for the price point.

EINFACH UNGLAUBLICH SUPER GENIAL!!!!! Noch nie zuvor haben wir einen derartig schönen Urlaub erlebt. Von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde war alles einfach nur perfekt, die Lodges, die Safaris, das Essen und vor allem das Team. Es war alles so unfassbar herzlich. Wir sind unendlich dankbar und froh, dass wir hier waren und wissen heute schon, dass wir nicht das letzte Mal hier gewesen sind. Wir wären gerne hier geblieben. Danke für diese tolle und atemberaubende Erfahrung, den tollen Service und vor allem für eure Herzlichkeit. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt und werden euch mit den besten Gewissen jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Danke ❤️

Ich kann mich nur bei euch bedanken für die unglaubliche Zeit!!!! Kommt alle hier her, es ist unglaublich schön, das ganze Team ist unglaublich herzlich und freundlich. Es war der krönende Abschluss einer langen Reise. Mir fallen hier keine Superlative mehr ein, es war einfach wunderschön ❤️❤️❤️
