The view from the lounge is the reward for the extra uphill push when you reach Namche. Mingma's personal attention and genuine interest in all of his guests is exceptional. He is well connected throughout the region which can be very valuable for your onward trek. We stayed at Panorama at the beginning and end of the 3 passes trek. It truly was like coming home.

Many of the world’s greatest mountaineers pass through the Panorama lodge in Namche for a reason - Mingma and his incredibly kind community, staff and family have created an unmatched environment to acclimate, exchange stories, eat well and rest up before or after an adventure in the beautiful Nepal Himalaya. Highly recommend to all traveling through.

The staff was incredibly helpful with all of my questions and requests. Additionally they went out of their way to make me feel more lukewarm family than just a guest. The owner helped come up with a hike for my acclimatization day that was breathtaking and also a bit off the beaten path which was exactly what I wanted. The owner and staff answered many questions relating to my trek and also in general about the history and people of the area. I could not be more pleased with my stay.

We stayed here twice, and returning after our trek was especially wonderful. If you can, upgrade to a deluxe room — it comes with an attached bathroom and an electric blanket, which felt amazing after many cold days on the trail. The staff is extremely friendly and makes sure you have a great time. What impressed me the most — and something we didn’t experience anywhere else during our 18 trekking days — was that the manager actually had knowledge about the trek. He gave helpful recommendations and advice for acclimatization, and genuinely understood the route (unlike many other lodge owners who simply didn’t care). I also liked the cultural explanations on the menu - such nice details :) We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Be aware that there may be a lack of running water at times — especially in the morning when everyone is getting ready or „attending their business“. Also, you might end up in a room without a view, but if you ask kindly, they may be able to offer you a different one.
