Honne-Pondokkies

What a pretty place to stay! Had everything we needed. Quiet, could really relax. Close to the beach and restaurants.

The host was friendly and helpful, it was clean, and there's a bit of a sea view. :-)

I stayed in Pandokkie 1. The furnishings and bedding are old / low cost. While this is probably very normal for the area, surely the cost should also be reflective of that. For example, the headboard is a loose wooden pallet, and the couches are those wooden ones with the cushions - not very comfy. I paid R900 for 1 night (1 visitor), and I think somewhere around R650 would be more reasonable for the condition of the facilities. A quick win is to also bring the TV down to eye level, rather than mounted so high up.

Very friendly people and washing was offered. Very close to the coastal part on the Namakwaland reserve, however I would recommend ONLY going in with a 4x4 as the roads are limited for a normal suv’s we hot stuck and there is no signal and few other cars. Sweet little fishers village

Gyeser had no gas so the shower was terribly vold. View was not the best. About 2 and half hours on a narrow dirt road from Namakwaland Skilpad section.
