The area was peaceful and quiet.

Room was beyond dirty. Layers of dust on bedside table, black spots on bathroom walls, dead spiders in the windows. Roof was maybe cleaned months ago. Really not great. Seating area outside worn, tired and not what the pictures indicate. Especially the view. Yes we had trees but also trash and building materials of some sort of fire pit. Not as pictured! Bed was maybe as old as the carriage, with a full dip in the middle, squeaking every time you turn, and truly so uncomfortable. Room get incredibly hot but the fans don't work unless the lights are on! And the aircon is in another room and also doesn't work. It's marketed as a retreat but they treat you as an Airbnb guest; get ready to clean your room, wash your dishes, take out your trash etc Some food items provided were past sell by date. But probably worst of all was that when I asked if I could pay and get them to please organize dinner for our arrival since we were international guests and would arrive after all shops were closed in Maleny, was told "Our guest sort themselves out. Have you considered doing this yourself?" In my 20 odd years of traveling have never come across a place so unhelpful, or unwilling to make our stay just a little more comfortable especially since I am willing to pay for it. So yeah, if you want to pay a premium for an old, dusty, dirty accommodation where they can't even help with one simple request, and nothing inside is set up for a relaxing stay: this is the place for you.

Unsure if there was wifi, didn’t see anything about it, nothing was mentioned in the book about it. Kind of scary having nothing
