Heaven in the Hills Retreat

Beautiful peaceful location, fireplace. Great to have breakfast supplies including real coffee, quality muesli, milk. Such a treat to be able to bring the dog too.

The location is lovely. So quiet and peaceful. Loved the sunset, full sky of stars and being surrounded by trees. We stayed in one of the carriages which was a unique experience. Had the fire going as it was mid winter. Also very grateful we could bring our four legged family member. Thank you Bradford. We want to come back and stay longer next time! It was just what we needed!

Being dog friendly was amazing, the owner brought us a baby gate so that our dog was secure and he was very warm and welcoming on our arrival. The accommodation was well equipped and thoughtfully put together with everything you could need plus more. It was clean and the veranda was nice. It rained the whole time we stayed so did not get to see the view, but I’m sure it was a great one.

We did not know that we would have neighbours sharing the carriage, especially so close with only a single door separating us. This should be made clear in the information, we would not have booked if we knew this and it was disappointing to realise when we arrived. We were very aware throughout our stay of the people next door as we could clearly hear them talking through the walls. We had to listen to their music late into the evening, which ruined what we were hoping would be a nice and quiet dinner in the lounge by the fire, until I asked them at 10:30pm to turn it down as we could not sleep even with the bedroom door closed. They were not loud or rowdy at all, it was simply that it is not noise proof in the slightest. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, both my partner and I left with sore backs and sore necks and slept poorly both nights that we stayed. We returned home from our getaway feeling exhausted. The main door does not close properly unless it is lifted up and into the lock, which required two of us to do this and it is very heavy.

Heaven in the Hills was a wonderful place to stay in gorgeous hinterland surrounds! Highly recommend booking a stay here - beautiful spot, lovely spacious and comfortable accommodation, cosy fire, and amazing customer service. We were able to bring our dog with us too, which was an added bonus. Bradford was so welcoming and accommodating, through every communication and interaction. He even kindly popped some clothing in the post back to us that we left behind! We'd definitely stay again and look forward to coming back to this stunning place sometime soon.

The view was amazing, bed very comfortable, the whole property stays in a beautiful and peaceful area where you can spot some wildlife (wallabies for instance). Hosts were delightful with us! To stay on an old train was an incredible experience

Everything in the Train Chalé is very small like in a tiny house and the only minor trouble we had was to wash dishes and store things in the fridge, but nothing to worry about. We wouldn’t change to other accommodation because of that

Peaceful. Beautiful outlook. Well stocked and supplied cabin. Loved the fireplace. Just a cute place to stay.
