The only redeeming feature of the visit was the night stars. We were hoping to see lots of wildlife but there was nothing.

The drop toilet. One basin for hand washing, teeth cleaning and dish washing. Totally unacceptable. If we had been made aware of the drop toilet in the advertising we would not have booked. No fly screens. No insect spray. Poor cooking facilities- a microwave sitting on the fridge with the toaster and kettle on top. Nowhere to put food while preparing. Not enough power points. Poor lighting. A mosquito net with holes and gaps. The shower floor so slippery it is dangerous for the likes of aged people like us. If one of us had slipped and become injured we were in serious trouble particularly in view of the limited phone coverage. Only one road in/out - a major fire risk. Road in very poor condition.

Loved the open porch area to watch the wildlife and spent some time skipping rocks on the lake, it was a beautiful stay and we loved every moment.

The long drop loo is never the most pleasant experience, but the spray and bark provided as well as helpful tips on how to use them made it an easier trip to the loo each time. Some natural room spay (Eucalyptus we found worked well) might be of assistance next time.

Gorgeous little spot for a romantic getaway. A great nature location to get lost in each other.

Perfect quiet location in native bushland. Great for bird watching, bushwalking, mountain biking. 5 start uxury of the eco kind. just to get away from everythig and unwind. No TV, internet, mobile phone.

More lights inside the chalet, otherthan that nothing

It's a secluded place with lots of nature surrounding it. There were lots of birds around, we even got to see a couple of fairy wrens. It's a perfect place for escaping the hush of the city and just relaxing.

There was no phone reception and no internet, but that also contributed to the feeling of completely disconnecting from everything. So in the end it was not a bad thing.

The cosy cottage feel. Lovely outlook over the Blackwood River. Comfy bed. Privacy. Huge balcony with enough relaxing seating. Watching the beautiful birds.

Not used to long drops even though this one is clean and not very smelly.

The location was wonderful, the natural pool was a lovely way to relax. The bed was super comfy.

There was nothing I didn’t like it was perfect

A great getaway in absolute peaceful seclusion - with your own private pool (in the blackwood river)

The toilet/shower did smell. (offgrid) so expected a bit. It would be nice if you opened up the shower. And would love if you moved that outdoor bath over to the Birdhide!
