Waiheke Island Punga Lodge

It has a rustic treehouse feel yet modernised & comfortable. Having our own bathroom was great & tea & coffee making facilities. The hosts were ultra friendly, helpful & humorous. I think everyone in NZ would want to come for the home baking included.

Very friendly welcome with clear advance instructions as to how to find the Lodge. Local buses from the ferry terminal was quick and reliable. Easy close walks to beach and shops and cafes. On best bus route if exploring other areas. Hosts served an outstanding breakfast and afternoon tea options to suit. Room was airy and well equipped room with balcony so we were very comfortable and slept well. Great shower and Wifi Towels supplied and lovely spotless bed sheets.

Wish I had more time to stay longer. Definitely will return.

Exceptional service, fabulous location, clean and comfortable

Beds were comfy and a lovely view from the room with a personal deck to enjoy the birdlife. The breakfast and afternoon tea provided were certainly a highlight, with lovely homebaking from Dianne. Something different each day and you could choose your breakfast for each day. There is also a hot tub for guest use which was great to relax after a day out. The location was good, nice and central to Oneroa (the main town) only about 10 mins walk and 5 mins to the nearest beach. even provided beach towels which was handy! bus stop close by for easy travel to other parts of Waiheke too. The hosts were friendly and accomodating.

the room had a bit of wear and tear, particuarly in the bathroom so could do with an update and maintenance of some furniture e.g. outdoor table was wobbly. bugs such as mosquitoes (however spray was provided). No air conditioning, only a fan provided to stay cool. low/no signal for mobile coverage so relied on the wifi provided while at the lodge.

The accommodation is in a truly beautiful setting. The room had a private deck over-looking a beautiful garden. It's 3 mins walk to the beaxh. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful. All the homemade cake you can eat. A wonderful experience all round.

Diane was a great host! She provided afternoon tea and a lovely breakfast and drinks teas/coffees/juice. Location was good - we could catch buses or walk 5 mins down to little oneroa.

Perfect Location, quick walk to the water. Dianne & co. are amazing & go the EXTRA mile for guests. Will come again forsure!
