Our guide Henry was a breath of fresh air. We definitely got way more than we expected and learned alot about the bush. Exceptional 5 star treatment from Henry and the team. The room was dreamy😍

We had an amazing stay at Lions Valley Lodge during our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, they truly think of everything and more, and you’re taken care of down to the smallest details. The facilities are perfect: a beautiful pool with a stunning view, and the lodges themselves are spacious, stylish, and very comfortable. Ours even had multiple showers and baths (even a wood stoked hottub outside) which felt incredibly luxurious. One of the coolest parts is that you’re truly in the middle of the reserve, we regularly saw giraffes, impalas, and even warthogs (Pumba) walking right past our lodge. In the evening, staff would escort us back to our room in the dark, which made us feel safe and added to the experience. The atmosphere at night is fantastic, with a cozy fireplace indoors and a campfire outside — the perfect vibe after a day on safari. The food was excellent as well, big compliments to the chef. There were plenty of options and choices, and every meal felt special. The safari game drives were a highlight, our guide Henry was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Not a single drive was boring: we felt safe the entire time, and still managed to see many animals up close. We also booked a spa massage, which was very relaxing and a great extra treat during the honeymoon. Highly recommended. We would love to come back!

Large rooms, decent wifi & nice staff

No hot water (had to have a cold shower) & cleaning times were weird (they would try to clean when we were in the room rather than whilst on game drives).
