Eco Aldea kinich Ahau Calakmul

The restaurant was very good and the employees were nice. The cottages are surrounded by the jungle and we saw various animals like a coati, a grey fox, a small deer, a hummingbird, and other various colourful birds. There is air conditioning.

There was a few mice poops 💩 on one of the beds. If there wasn't that, I would have put a 10/10. The dueño offered us to change cottage if we wanted. Just put some mice traps and I think it will be good!

Sehr ruhige Lage, nette und großzügige Bungalows im Wald inkl. Hängematte, Sofa, Bartisch und eigener Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Frühstück (a la carte) sehr lecker mit regionalen selbst hergestellten Produkten wie Ananasmarmelade.

Personal spricht kein Wort Englisch, musste mit Übersetzungsapp arbeiten. Die Lage ist außerhalb der Stadt, nur mit Auto erreichbar.

Cabane propre, eau chaude. Petit déjeuner à partir de 6h30 style buffet, très copieux. Restaurant mexicain sur place le soir. Personnel accueillant.

Forte odeur dans la salle de bain.

At 0830 am a guy surprised us with a request to enter our room to access a valve under the floorboards so that he could open and empty the cesspit. We declined.

Abgeschiedene Lage, umgeben von vielen Bäumen und Natur und unweit der archäologischen Stätte Becán. Das Personal v.a. im Restaurant war sehr bemüht und freundlich.

We really enjoyed our two night stay. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The cabins are arranged with lots of space for privacy and tucked nicely into the jungle, providing a great experience of nature. The on-site restaurant was adequate but not outstanding and the included breakfast was filling. The birding opportunities here were quite good and we were able to find 30-40 species in the few hours we spent on the property, with great views of White-bellied Emerald and Black-headed Trogon. We also saw an Agouti in the forest near the restaurant! There is a short trail at the back of the property as well and we saw a stream of leaf-cutter ants there. This was a decent base for our visit to Calakmul and I would highly recommend a stay here!

The entrance was a little sketchy looking and we almost missed it when we arrived.

Un lodge douillet et très bien équipé au cœur d'une biosphère spectaculaire. L'expérience est d'autant plus agréable que le lodge est particulièrement confortable. Le personnel est très agréable et bienveillant. Le restaurant est également très bien.

La signalisation pour arriver à l'hôtel pourrait être largement optimisée. Il n'est même pas précisé que la réception de l'hôtel se situe à l'intérieur du restaurant sur la route. Ce serait vraiment bien de faire rapidement...
