Titicaca Ecolodge Perú

Titicaca Ecolodge is a small family owned business. The hosts, Renzo & his family are such lovely people who will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The accommodation is massive, lots of areas to lounge and admire the views. On a clear night you’ll see the most amazing night sky. The bed is very comfortable and has lots of blankets to keep you warm after the sun sets. The breakfast, lunch & dinner was fantastic. Simple high quality ingredients cooked to perfection. They even had dinner ready for us when we arrived late in the night at the lodge. I definitely recommend doing the included activities to learn more about the Uros community, their way of life and the challenges they face. Don’t hesitate to book this place. You will have the most enriching and unique experience!

It does get cold at night, there is a gas heater and plenty of blankets. I do recommend bringing thermals to sleep in.

We had the most amazing two nights on the lodge. Renzo and his family were extremely lovely and catered for our every need. They made us feel so welcome and it was an honour being shown the culture of the Uros Islands through the activities on offer. We arrived to Puno by train from Cusco and Renzo arranged for a taxi to take us from the station to the port and then he took us to the lodge via a short boat ride. The journey by boat was extremely comfortable and Renzo provided us with blankets to keep us warm as we arrived at night, which does get cold in winter. The lodge is super comfortable and and the view over the lake is beautiful. Thank you so much Renzo for an unforgettable experience, a highlight of our trip to South America!

Posto unico! Abbiamo dormito due notti in questa palafitta sul lago Titicaca, ospitati da Paulo e Eléna, famiglia del luogo super accogliente! Ci sono venuti a prendere in barca al porto di Puno! Tramonti pazzeschi e buon cibo cucinato da loro. Quando cala il sole fa freddo ma nel bungalow ci sono sufficienti coperte e un fungo che riscalda l’ambiente. Felici di averli conosciuti e di aver soggiornato qui invece che nella città di Puno!

Essendo molto isolato l’acqua calda fatica ad arrivare la mattina, perciò ci lavavamo il pomeriggio al termine delle escursioni. L’unico piccolo sacrificio per un’esperienza unica!

Wir waren im Juli zur sehr kalten Jahreszeit in der Lodge. Diese verfügt leider über keine Heizung, sondern nur über einenHeizstrahler. Daher muss man sich auf sehr kalte Nächte einrichten. Wie gesagt, jahreszeitenabhängig

It is so gorgeous, the family is absolutely amazing and the food was incredible. Our reservation included a trip on the traditional boat and we got to meet Renzo’s mom who was the sweetest and he showed us how his people came to live in this area. The food his MIL made was delicious, some of the best meals we had in Peru! Look no further and stay at this property. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable.

I wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like. It was super cold at night being winter but there is a heater and lots of blankets but just be aware. It didn’t take away from our experience and we loved staying here nonetheless.

Everything about this accommodation was perfect. Our host organized the transfer to the accommodation and was very attentive. During our stay we were very well received, everyone was very kind and welcoming. We did two very interesting cultural activities that allowed us to learn more about the Uros culture. All the meals were delicious and very well served. I would like to highlight Mrs. Helena who was very attentive to us.

Renzo and his wife really are the best and friendliest hosts we met on our trip so far. If we could rate it more than 10 stars, we would :) He really makes everything for you to have the best time on Uros Islands. With him we could do 3 activities: kayaking, riding a traditional boat (&learning more about life on the Titicaca lake) and visiting the Uros museum. In addition his wife cooked really delicious traditional food. Renzo even made it possible for us to bring friends for dinner to his island. When we left we had to leave really early because of road blockages and so he brought us in the middle of the night back to the mainland (he even organized a boat with a closed roof because it was raining so hard). We highly recommend to book your stay with Renzo and his wife :)
