West Point Woods

We enjoyed our stay. The actual location of the pods was pleasant enough. The staff were helpful and friendly and short distant walk to the beach. Nice enough bathroom and shower.

Felt like we were misguided when booking. The pod didn't look like the pictures. We thought there was going to be a seating area and/or a sofa bed inside which there wasn't. We had what looked like a make-shift children's bunkbeds instead. Luckily, it was nice weather, so could sit outside for most of it. However, if bad weather we would have really struggled as would have literally been eating our meals sat on the bed! I went with my mum and dog so it meant we had to share a bed for the weekend, which wasn't ideal! Again, they knew we didn't book for any children so why put us in that pod? I understand it is an eco-friendly site, but the battery packs do not last long and again would struggle if bad weather. One of the staff members was luckily staying in one of the pods, so we got the information and everything we needed for most of our stay. However, we required wood and fire lighters on our last night, and there was nobody to be seen or found to help us. As mentioned, the field where the pods are located is pleasant enough, but it is literally at the back of a council estate. It was a nice break from everyday life but I won't be booking again.

the yurt was lovely and loved the outdoor shower

none of the lights outside of our yurt worked so we weren’t able to eat at the table outside without phone torches, we cooked outside too so just wasn’t really ideal on this front. we also weren’t aware that the yurt was on the back of a housing estate as the photos & maps made it appear quite secluded

The grounds unkept and messy . Loads of tat lashed outside the pod . A dog kept setting are light off off until all hrs . Looks nothing like the pics advertised on booking.com . Freezing had to heat the room with the gas cooking stove !

The location was lovely the island is lovely great pub just down the road and can explore so easily. It was very quaint and is an escape from technology as there is no plug sockets in the pods and the battery packs weren’t strong enough to charge but it was nice to have that break.

The bed was not the most comfortable, very sore back after the first night and the feathers kept stabbing through the night

The yurt was fantastic, comfortable bed, everything we needed was ready for our stay. We had out of hours check in so didn't meet the staff but they were great leading up to our stay and very helpful.

I thought the outside could have been a bit tidier there was lots of nettles to avoid
