Cabin itself was lovely. Very warm and comfortable and run solely on solar power. Communal area was very pleasant but not sure it would’ve been if there had been more people on site as site isn’t large and cabins are close together

It’s not in the middle of idyllic woods. It basically a bit of land surrounded by trees at the back of a not very nice housing estate right in the flight path of an airfield. In the evening it’s like being in Beirut….low flying planes, sirens and racing teenagers with backfiring cars.

There wasn't much to like as it rained so we couldn't go outside to eat.

We arrived late, soaked and there was nowhere to dry anything. The main problem was lighting. It was very poor and none at all in the bathroom. If one of our fellow campers had not had a battery light left in his pod we would have been really stuck. The battery packs were not good, very short lived. If this is the future with solar power we are going to be living in the cold and dark

Facilities

The site is tucked away but once you turn the corner it’s like you are in a completely different place. It’s quiet / private and a really beautiful spot. The host Gavin was amazing, we even asked to stay another night which he accommodated straight away. The site is clean and the facilities are excellent. Great for couples but also for kids. Would definitely recommend :-)
