Location was great- saw crocodiles at breakfast Manager helped me share a safari trip with others Staff were generally friendly Pool was nice

Hard to find/ sign out front was small Entry drive was rough for a normal car Tent filled with thousands of insects so couldn’t put lights on Bed was very hard Thought the security guard was escorting me back to my room but he asked me for money to educate his children / awkward Lot of construction sounds from building new rooms No air con and couldn’t leave windows open direct insects- so sleep was difficult in the heat No fridge, no tea or coffee facilities in room, only one bottle of water in room- otherwise 300 ksh to get it from the bar Water was not included in half board so even with meals you had to pay

Excellent location. Lovely staff on the property. I suggest walking safari by the river. Lots of animals to see. Nearby the old station where the lions actually prayed on the people who constructed the bridge. Just a nice place to visit both for a short while or for a longer holiday. Nearby the entrance to Tsavo East and Tsavo West.

I think the bug prevention at meals could be better. Perhaps some sort of moving curtains or something could work.

Staff were excellent and the setting magical will come again

Nicely positioned hotel with spectacular views of the river and the occasional wild animal. The hotel room was clean and comfortable.

The property is located quite a distance from Tsavo East entrance. The food was acceptable but could be improved.

Amazing place, pool and restaurant perfect to enjoy when you're back from the game drives.

Located well for safari to both Tsavo East and Tsavo West. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Some wildlife very close (eg. hippos, buffalo, crocs and monkeys).

Charging hotel prices for accommodation and restaurant with limited menu. Food is not at all exciting despite the price. No fridges in the rooms to keep water cool. No shop for supplies despite being very isolated. The isolation is spoiled by the proximity of the SGR railway, unfortunately.

family friendly place, we were with 3 children. They were very kind and solved all our requests. They also organized a game drive, which also met our expectations. They have ‘own’ hippo end crocodile in the river.

We loved the location on the river where we could spot hippos, crocodile and monkeys. The lodge is as close to nature as could be. The tented huts were airy and comfortable, staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Staff was very kind and helpful, location pure fantastic on the river bank. The crocodile Henry was guarding us all the time while staying there :))) Food was great.

Limited choice of beer and wine.
