Cabinas Costa Tropicana

Location was great. Close to supermarkets and taxis. The pool was lovely. Kitchen facilities were good0

The outside seating was not very comfortable

It is located in a beautiful location, close to the town yet nestled in the jungle. The cabin was comfortable and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

The door lock was loose and difficult to unlock from the outside.

Place was really nice and even though it was in a neighborhood, it felt like you were alone in a jungle area. Pool was really nice as well and having the washing machine and dryers was very helpful.

I would have loved to have some coffee and sugar provided. We had similar things in other locations and we didn't have to go out and buy those things.

Location is good. Better if you have a car though. Place was very clean and surprisingly hot water in the shower considering its a small place.

Should have coffee filters. Not a big deal, I bought some and left them for the next person.

This was a great place in a great location. The owner was friendly and helpful, particularly when I didn't receive the email with my gate code. She quickly walked down and let us in and helped us with all checking in. The cabinas are cute and the kitchen was well stocked so we could cook at home.

I liked everything.

The Cabinas are quite spacious and all of them have furnitures at the terraces to sit outside. The surrouding environment is beautiful, full of flowering plants, palm trees with birds, butterflies.

In some of the Cabinas have no microwave ovens, toaster maker, the kitchen equipment is very limited. I really missed the hairdryer, especially when my hair became totally wet during a big storm in the evening. The cleanliness is awful, dust on the shelves, at the corners, the sofa pillows were dirty, we found a hair and stains on the sheets. The nightmare was when we met every night cockroaches, once it was on the toilet paper and I touched during the night, once it was running on the feets in the bed, also in the cupboard and on the sofa. When we complained, the host did some spray against them and she offered us another Cabinas, finally we moved there but the situation was the same. We did not have a calm night without cockroach. Probably she knew that, but she was not totally honest to us, as we found a trap under the sofa in the second cabina. We would have looked for another accomodation earlier, if she had told us the truth. She should order a proper disinsection for all Cabinas without guests but she explained this with it: it looks like the life in the jungles of Costa Rica

Cabin set in nice grounds, nice swimming pool, on site laundry facilities very welcome. 2 ginger cats kept us company for the duration of our stay! Fabulous bakery just around the corner - try the cinnamon rolls!

Chairs on veranda need some cushions to make a more comfortable area to sit and relax in in the evening. Would nice to have some basic provisions in the kitchen - tea, coffee, salt & pepper, cooking oil.

The cabins are surrounded by so many beautiful plants, it feels like you're in the middle of the jungle. The location is very private and relatively quiet (not considering all the animal noises :) Our cabin was well equipped for a family stay, and we had everything we needed there. The owner, Sasha was very friendly, and responsive with any requests or questions we had.

A few times during our stay there were problems with water (water was shut off), and once with the internet, but it was throughout the entire neighborhood so nothing really could be done. Not a big issue, but just something to be aware of. The WiFi is okay for occasional internet use, but not fast enough if you need to work (video calls, etc.)
