The location on the island is superb - the Luxury Tent directly at the water line of the river is a great experience.

Check in was a bit confusing as my name was cut of in the print out and staff could not locate me for a while.

Great location by the river, it was a perfect stop on our way from Kasane, Botswana. The cottage is nicely built and tastefully arranged, with good functionality - all the windows and the door were covered with nets. There was also a mosquito net over the bed, so we could enjoy fresh air without needing to worry about mosquitos after the dark. The bar across the river was also an interesting concept, although crossing the river full of crocodiles and hippos on a swinging bridge was a little scary.

Payment was a bit challenging. No internet around the reception area, so payment by card was not possible.. So everything needed to be paid in cash, but then it does not make sense that you cannot get changes...

Ein kleines Paradies am Okavango. Sehr gute Lage, Bar und Restaurant auf der Insel direkt über dem Fluss. Frühstück wird ans Zimmer/Bungalow gebracht. Super freundliches Personal.

Nichts

The first impression was rather disappointing - even if you travel during shoulder season ... a friendly, warm welcome should be possible. I had booked a tent on the island .. BLISS. The tent was amazing, the bed was SO comfortable and having an outdoor shower was the highlight. Being able to cook and enjoy dinner on my very own patio overlooking the Kavango - Bliss. Sadly there was too much water, so hippos were not sighted. The breakfast was nice.

The pool did not look inviting, same goes for the patio around the pool. The one dinner I had was nothing to write home about - though they did take my allergies into account. Very notable are the different room prices, which I only found out upon check-out.... Advice: pay cash (you get an AMAZING deal).

Posizione incredibile, affacciata sulle acque del fiume Okavango, in uno scenario naturalistico incredibilmente selvaggio, intatto e affascinante. Le tende, che a differenza dei bungalow sono situate proprio sull’isola, rappresentano il vero punto forte della struttura. Si dorme letteralmente circondati dalla natura selvaggia, tra i cinguettii degli uccelli, i versi degli ippopotami e il fruscio di una foresta viva. Sicuramente uno dei posti più belli e veri dove sia mai stato a dormire!

The room was fine. Clean and comfortable. Pool was glorious. The swing bridge was fun. The bar deck was lovely. Great sunset cruise. Braai area for self catering was great. Wood provided daily.

No wifi in the rooms. Bar area only opens at 5pm so you can't get a drink earlier.

The location was perfect. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to send two evenings.
