Kwalata Game Lodge

The friendly staff, the unique environment, the good food. The bird life was wonderful. The mongoose was facinating. Seeing the whistling ducks in the dam was fantastic. The statues and carvings are unique. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We loved our time at Kwalata and we'll be back.

Advertised as self catering but 3 teaspoons and a fork don't make a unit self catering. The kitchen distance from the dining room meant the food was never piping hot. Would have been nice to have an outside plastic table. The bench in the boma was not comfortable.

The chalet was beautifully maintained, exceptionally comfortable, and far exceeded our expectations in every way. The attention to detail in both the furnishings and facilities created a warm, relaxing, and luxurious atmosphere throughout our stay. We were especially impressed by the excellent range of facilities available, which added greatly to the overall experience. The breakfast was another highlight, offering a wonderful variety of delicious options to suit every taste. Overall, our stay was both memorable and thoroughly enjoyable.

The food was delicious and the actual lodge itself is really beautiful! I did a birding game drive with William and that was excellent!

Very noisy unfortunately. On Sunday morning at 7:30am I was abruptly woken by the cleaner singing loudly in the room next door. After breakfast, I returned hoping to enjoy some peace before checkout, but the singing continued and a walkie-talkie had been left in the room going off repeatedly, which ultimately resulted in me checking out early. The night before, guests were also allowed to play loud party music around the pool area, so instead of enjoying dinner and the bush sounds, all you could hear was loud music, singing, and shrieking. The rooms are also not very soundproof, as conversations, snoring, and noise from neighbouring rooms could easily be heard.
