Wonderful stay, great view, cozy accomodation

We had a lovely weekend stay at The Dome at Waikino! The cabin was warm, cozy, and well-insulated — perfect for a peaceful escape. We enjoyed using the grill for dinner and relaxing by the mini bonfire while stargazing. Woke up to birds chirping and beautiful views all around. The kitchenette had everything we needed, and the property was very quiet. Amir was a fantastic host — friendly, attentive, and always making sure we were comfortable. Loved seeing the goats, chickens, and alpaca too. Highly recommend!

WOW. We got in at night and woke up in paradise! The view over the hills is stunning and the whole property is spectacularly peaceful. The dome is a great size, bedding is very comfortable, shower/bathroom were great. We were there at the tail end of winter and were very comfortable and warm. Seeing the llamas and goats and chatting with the owner were an added bonus! He warned us we might have trouble finding the place, but we dropped a pin on the main road ahead of time and had no problems whatsoever, even in the dark.

Cosy quirky little property. Very warm and comfortable. Host was excellent and went out his way to make our stay comfortable. Close to lots of walks (from Dickey Flat) and Karangahaka Gorge. Bbq and fire pit were added bonus! Oh and the views and nature were stunning. There’s a few alpacas on the property to say hi to too.

Peaceful location, cozy, had everything you need, lovely outlook, amongst nature, quality alone time. It was raining on and off when I stayed but it would be really nice on a clearer night to light to fire sit outside and enjoy the view and atmosphere even more.

Missed the turn into driveway first time. Maybe a sign on the right side of the road pointing to driveway would help.
