"Perfect property Perfect Hosts Perfect quiet secluded location"

10.0

The lodge was better than we even expected it to be. It was spotlessly clean and also had a little welcome pack of provisions such as pasta, sauces, milk, tea coffee and even a few beers were left in the fridge for us arriving. There were three of us and the bed up at the top and then two pull out couch beds fitted us in perfectly without feeling too cramped. Luckily for us the weather was great so we were able to use the large BBQ outside as a fire pit and spent the majority of our time outside. There were plenty of logs to use to burn. The owners house is far enough away that we didn’t’ t disturb them ( or vice versa ) even when we had later nights outside. The lodge was well stocked with all things you would need to cook with. Plenty of pots and pans, baking trays, cutlery etc. You really don’t need to bring anything. WiFi worked perfectly. The freeview tv on the wall has a built in dvd player and also has one spare HDMI slot so we could plug in our fire stick and stream anything we needed. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating. We asked to stay on later with a late check out and as the lodge was not booked till the following day they let us with no problems. We have already contact Tracey to book our return trip next summer.

There was not much we could complain about to be honest as it was pretty much perfect. Only really two things that we could mention. 1- The two sofa beds were a bit old, squeaky and hard to pull in and out however the owners did advise us they have new ones coming next week so that problem is already being dealt with and by the time anyone reads this to book for future they will have been replaced. 2- There were quite a few wasps turning up when trying to eat outside but then it is to be expected at this time of year when they are starting to die off and nothing much that anyone can do about that. There were badminton rackets on the porch which we used to play wasp tennis.

"A beautiful gem, hidden away in a perfect location! Perfect!"

10.0

Well, what a gem!! Absolutely loved staying here. Idyllic, peaceful, lovely and clean, so cosy and the girls enjoyed the play area! Great value for money! Welcome hamper was such a lovely touch, the Prosecco was very much appreciated. Tracey and Dave, the owners, were really friendly and made us feel so welcome. We loved the owners 2 dogs too! A gorgeous break - thank you!

Nothing to dislike!

"Thought of everything, wonderful stay. Would 100% come back"

10.0

The lodge had absolutely everything you would need to make you stay enjoyable. The hamper of pasta, milk, butter, Prosecco was a really nice touch. Well stocked and lots of inside and outside games. Loved the log burner.

Sofa beds we alittle squeaky but they were being replaced shortly so don’t let that put anyone off. The bed upstairs was really comfortable.

"Relaxing mini-moon"

9.0

Secluded location, traditional log cabin with log burner. Plenty of outdoor space, watching pheasants and deers past your door, while swallows nesting above. Great host who goes the extra mile (including a bottle of fizz on arrival as we had just got married). Good WiFi for watching Netflix and firestick on rainy days. Nice fluffy towels and bathmat, plenty of cooking equipment and basics to get you started.

Everything was great for us! Its an old traditional log cabin so perfectly imperfect. It might not be for everyone as its secluded so no shops, pubs etc etc within walking distance, and some of the decor and decking a little warn but for us that didn't matter. For those that are tall or not nibble on their feet, he mezzanine has limited head space and steep steps. We had a lovely stay. Thank you Tracey and her family.

"A lovely break from city life, in a tranquil and secluded location."

8.0

The lodge was really lovely and overall great value. The hosts were very helpful, sending detailed directions ahead of time and making sure we knew to ask for anything we needed during our visit. The location was lovely and peaceful and there was loads of green space directly outside the lodge for the dog to explore. Lots of do dvds and board games supplied within the lodge. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. There was also a welcome pack of milk, butter, tea/coffee and a bottle of Prosecco - lovely touch.

The sofas were somewhat uncomfortable. They were well used but I don’t think that’s a problem if they are comfy. It would also be great if there were some throws/blankets supplied for relaxing in the main lounge area as it was quite chilly in the mornings, even in July.
