All the staff were exceptional in their attention to detail as well as being very professional and friendly and kind. An amazing team which makes for a wonderful warm environment. Had a lovely guide Mkosi who went out of his way to accommodate us and help us find animals, like the cheetah and lions! All staff were so kind, welcoming and friendly Travelled with 2 little ones and the staff were so kind to them We had a flat tyre on arrival and the owner repaired it for charge at no cost. We are vegetarian and the kitchen accommodated us and made sure we had enough to eat and snack on Much appreciated and will definitely return and recommend to our families and friends

Breakfast was good. Location was good. Game ranger was excellent. Game drives were as good as any we've been on.

Food was very good; Maintenance excellent and staff helpful and friendly. Our guide (Riaan) was exceptional and thoughtful.

Game viewing wasn't particularly good, probably because of a lot of long grass. However, this did not spoil the experience.

Amazing, unforgettable stay! Special shout-out to Kumbalani, our guide who made us feel like home and he blew us away with his guidance and expertise during the gamedrives!

The breakfast was great. The evening meal on Saturday could have been better! Disappointed with that. Meat was not very good and the vegetarian options were not great.

This was my second visit to Balaya Game Resort, and I’m thrilled to say it surpassed even my already extraordinary first trip two years ago. Having explored many places in the area, I wasn't sure if they could recreate that magic—but they not only met, they exceeded every expectation! The lodge is simply amazing, blending comfort with the raw beauty of nature. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the beds are new and incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful stay after a day of adventure. One of the standout features of Balaya is the game drives. They are truly special, offering an intimate glimpse into the wild. The passion and dedication of the rangers shine through in every drive. Their knowledge about the animals and the land, combined with genuine care for your experience, elevates each safari into a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. During this visit, we even witnessed lions in their natural habitat—hunting and yes, killing. While such scenes might not be everyone’s cup of tea, for me, it was an awe-inspiring, raw demonstration of nature's realities. It's experiences like these that remind you of the wild’s unfiltered beauty and power. Overall, Balaya Game Resort delivers on every front. The friendly staff, the comfortable accommodations, and the exceptional game drives make it one of the best experiences I’ve had. I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable safari adventure!
