Montusi Mountain Lodge

Our stay at Montusi was simply wonderful. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean and the view of the Drakensbergen and specifically the “amphitheatre”was incredible. Staff was helpful, kind and the food was delicious and fresh. We would highly recommend staying here a few days and joining for one of the many guided hikes!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit tollen Zimmern, super Personal und einem unglaublich schönen Ausblick. Absolut Empfehlenswert sind auch die geführten Hikes (kostenfrei) die an der Lodge starten, sowie die Ausflüge zu den naheliegenden Nature Reserves.

Da gibt es nichts.

Sehr gepflegte und wunderschöne Unterkunft. Absolut empfehlenswert, ruhige Umgebung und tolles Essen. Wir waren jetzt zum zweiten Mal da und werden auf jeden Fall noch mal wiederkommen. Vielen Dank

L'emplacement est extraordinaire avec des vues sur les montagnes magnifiques. La suite était grande et très confortable. Le personnel est accueillant et souriant. On a vraiment apprécié le calme des lieux et les installations impeccable.

Que les fenêtres du haut ne puissent être occultées ou qu'il n'y ait pas un rideau entre la chambre et le salon car la lumière du jour arrive directement sur le lit avec du coup un réveil aux aurores.

Wie eine kleine Oase, traumhafter Blick, Garten, Unterkunft und Poolanlage wunderschön. Personal immer aufmerksam und mit einem Lächeln. Wir hatten einen Sunset-Ausritt gebucht, Pila ein sehr erfahrener Guide mit feinem Pferdeverstand, danach ein wunderbarer Snack auf der Terrasse, alles perfekt vorbereitet….einfach toll!

What a beautiful peaceful place, lots of greenery. Highly recommend for a solo trip to relax and unwind.

The breakfast was superb and freshly cooked to order. Many healthy alternatives and homemade elements. The location was out of this world with fabulous views of the amphitheatre. The cottages were cosy The management and staff friendly and efficient

The evening meals were good but sometimes a bit disappointing in view of the cost of the accommodation. Meat and fish a little over cooked and veg undercooked. We only had two meals so this could have been bad luck but we were comparing with other stays in a similar area.

Beautiful setting, and very spacious and modern accommodations in the North Drakensberg. The cabin was well-appointed and very comfortable, and we loved all the little touches from cookies to heated floors in the bathrooms. Great food and breakfast options. Staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of after long days of hikes. Our only wish was that we had time to stay here longer and enjoy the beautiful pool and grounds of the property.
