Old Mac Daddy

The resort and facilities and activities were great, and exceeded expectations. We wished we were staying for longer. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant for dinner and for breakfast were great.

Such a unique and memorable stay at Old Mac Daddy. Beautiful setting, relaxed vibe, and the trailers are quirky and comfortable. Great food, great drinks, and the perfect place to switch off and unwind. Super friendly staff. Would definitely return.

Very modern rooms. Coffee machine was a nice add on. The resort is absolutely amazing. This specific room is a bit further from the resort allowing for peace and quiet when you need it but still loads of activities when you want it within a quick drive which is still possible to walk. The staff is super friendly, very knowledgeable and always ready to help. The restaurant food is absolutely amazing!! All the prices on the resort is fairly priced with around R200 a plate for dinner and R100 per activity. With the terrible cellphone reception, the free WiFi is a great help!! You can add all your purchases to your room so no reason for carrying around cash. Towels are available at every water activity for guests so no reason to carry around your own or the rooms towels. This was the perfect getaway!

The room seems to be a bit overpriced since it is quite small with practically no space for your bags without tripping over them. If you have smaller bags, they will fit in the cupboard space provided in the bathroom. I do think that the resort makes up the value of the room. The WiFi in the rooms were a bit spotty dropping quite regularly, but worked great when it was connected. They continually heat the hot tub during the day which could be great however we could barely use it without being burnt. Might be a good idea for the staff to manage the temperature as well and not just add wood. No private braai but there is a communal space for braai. But my suggestion would be to enjoy the restaurant and just relax.

Great place to holiday with kids, breakfast was great. Facilities are good and it is not over-crowded which makes a huge difference.

The wifi is very slow, we were holiday so it was fine but if you had to try work it would be impossible. They do not thoroughly clean the rooms when they come in for housekeeping, just make the beds.

Wij hadden het schoolhouse. Heel ruim en leuk huis. Lekkere hottub erbij! Leuk watertje om even te suppen en te zwemmen.

Niet al het personeel was even vriendelijk.
