Little Oakhurst

The location, set up, everything is PERFECT. Everything is well thought about and makes you feel like you are 1000 miles away from home. A great setting for refreshment and relaxation.

The door got a little jammed each time we opened, would’ve liked some towels as brought own but they were offered. We bought some snacks from the shop, biscuits were already opened and a little stale. Beds a little small but manageable.

Everything from start to finish was unbelievable, the view, the hot tub, we were welcomed by the little lambs when we got there. The hot tub was all set up ready for us, the birthday banner was up for me, me and my partner loved our stay!

I didn’t sleep well due to the noise, the wind was bad, but that can’t be helped.

The location is beautiful

We expected towels, I thought it strange to offer shower gels and a hot tub but no towels. The manual read we were supplied with ‘enough would to heat the wood fire and the hot tub’ however there was no wood anywhere to be seen in or around the hut so we could not light the fire at bed time. The cabin was lovely but I have stayed at better shepherd’s huts for the same sort of price that had better facilities/ more of a personal touch. We didn’t know what to do when we arrived as had had no instruction so spent a while wandering around. We also weren’t aware we could have ordered food to cook on arrival etc as had no communication of this on booking. We felt the £50 card hold was slightly excessive and not something we’d been asked for before at a Glamping spot. Overall the place has so much potential however just a few missing personal touches compared to other places we’ve stayed at, will definitely visit again in one of the other huts to try but maybe for more than one night as 5pm-10am didn’t leave us any time to enjoy it really.
