We spent amazing day here

Wonderful Stay at Ecolodge Blue Morpho! We had an amazing experience at this lovely place. Michael, the owner, made us feel completely at home and took care of everything we needed. In the morning, he even gave us a ride to the border — such thoughtful service! The lodge is clean, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. It's the perfect spot for anyone looking for peace and quiet in a natural setting. Highly recommended, and we would definitely come back!

Michael could not have been more helpful. So friendly! Delicious breakfast, spotlessly clean room, with beautiful surroundings. Surrounded by nature and could see the howler monkeys. I could not recommend this place more

Everything was perfect

This place is set in an outstanding and beautiful unspoiled and very quiet jungle setting. In nighttime there is no sound from civilization but only monkeys, the lake and the jungle can be heard. The night sky for stargazing is spectacular. All of this is topped with freshly cooked food from the nicest hosts imaginable. Coming from Costa Rica we originally planned to stay only one night but extended our stay because everything was fantastic.

Menu very limited and a bit expensive for what you get. It’s far from everything so can’t go to shop to get food. Charged $4 per person, per day to use the pool. We went in for about 2 minutes but water was only full half way and it’s so full of algae that we got out. Still charged $8. It’s very much unclear on booking.com that the use of the pool is extra. Went there to relax and read for a few days but not many comfortable spots to relax. We were overrun by bugs, cockroaches and flies at night in the room. There were thousands of dead flies outside our room in the morning. Lots in the bed and on the towels etc. Appreciate they have tried to seal off the roof but more needs to be done. We didn’t mind too much at the time but the next day we realised we had been bitten so many times and it was very itchy for a few days. It feels difficult to complain about these things because the staff are kind but also we were relying on them for shuttles etc so a bit awkward. We left after one night despite booking 3 to meet friends elsewhere but on reflection I am very glad we did. I don’t think I could have done another night with so many insects inside.

Great place to rest and enjoy cool refreshing air. Friendly staff who made some wonderful meals. Only a short walk to the beach.

We liked it has a great location near the CR-NIC border in front of Cocibolca Lake, easy to find. The owner's warm welcome made us feel great and at home. It is an eco-lodge, powered by the sun and wind, so A/C is not available, but the fresh air by the night almost does it.

This is one of my favorite lodgings during my long travels through Central America. The hosts were exceptional, the meals exquisite, and the space wonderful. The nature surrounding the lodge was an amazing respite from the busy cities. Waking to the sound of howler monkeys and the waves along the shores of Lake Cocibolca was magical.

This was completely out of the control of the hosts, but there was an army checkpoint along the road to the lodge, I assume because of the proximity to the Costa Rica border, but they were friendly enough.
