The location of the property was good. The view of the mountain was also good.

We stayed at the Amazing Grace Lodge for 2 nights. We fully expected the accommodation to be basic (especially due to the price) but had hoped that the cleanliness would be satisfactory. We stayed in a room that was not in the main building of the lodge. The only thing I could compare these rooms to, would be that of a shipping container. In the bedroom area there was only a bed, a bedside table, a desk, a kettle, a fan and a plastic chair. The blind was grey and covered in dead flies. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. There was a mould patch on the ceiling. On every wall there were cracks and marks. The bedding felt dirty, it had stains on it and holes in it. The whole room (and bathroom) just stunk of damp and mould. The bathroom was just as bad, mould in all of the sealant, mould around the toilet and mould on the sink. The bathroom was always wet and moist. The walls of the room were paper thin with constant loud noise at all hours, which made sleep incredibly difficult. There was a dripping noise coming from outside which never stopped. Although, the view from our window was nice, it was ruined by the amount of rubbish just thrown on the grass. The condition of the place actually made our clean clothes smell of mildew before we had even worn them. The towels provided were old and damp. We had to ask for additional toilet paper because the one provided was wet, and the replacement one sent was also damp. We also left the property feeling congested due to mould and dampness of the room/bathroom. The shower had hot water, but only when the pressure was dropped to a minimum, otherwise it went very cold very quickly. The drainage in the bathroom was poor so water maintained for the duration between showers in some capacity. The toilet lid was also not attached properly and slid and moved when using.
