The Wild animals were a treat waking up and sleeping surrounded by them

We arrived late due to unforeseen circumstances, we notified management, tried to drive fast to make it on time, yet we were almost chased away in the middle of the N1 at night and asked to cancel our booking even though we notified about the late coming, it put a damper on the whole experience as we felt unwelcome and unwanted the worst experience.

The property did not grant us the access to enter the premises. They decided not to respond to any messages I sent to them on the day of arrival 18/10/2025 at 17h47 and not to answer any phone call I made to them. We arrived to the property at about 20h40 and we waited at the gate until 22h10 hooting and phoning the property but no response received and no access granted. We then decided to leave at 22h10 to look for another property to accommodate us for the night because we couldn’t go back to Durban at that time of the night and the weather condition was so bad, it was heavily raining with thunder which caused the delay on our way to the property. There were accidents on N3 due to thunderstorms and very bad weather conditions which I reported to the property through their message system indicating that we will arrive at around 20H00. When we realised that we were not gonna be granted access to our 3 rooms that were booked for the night. We went to look for another accomodation which we checked in to it at 23h57 after driving about 27 km from the Cheetau Lodge in order to get a place to sleep.

The wild cats were a real treat also the serenity of the location
