Thabile Lodge

Sobald man die Thabile Lodge erreicht, fühlt man sich sofort wohl und wie Zuhause. Die Gastgeber haben eine wunderschöne Oase inmitten der Halbwüste geschaffen. Die Gastgeber und das Personal sind unglaublich herzlich und zuvorkommend. Nicht zu vergessen die süsse Hundefamilie! Der schöne Garten inkl. Pool lädt zum Verweilen ein und das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Wer in der Nähe von Oudtshoorn eine Unterkunft sucht, sollte hier auf jeden Fall übernachten.

Peaceful setting outside of town. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The reception area is lovely, under the trees, filled with birdsong, beautiful views and large couches. The pool was a great feature. Currently 12 rooms, new (larger family rooms) are being added, but still a manageable volujme of ppl. Manager kindly stored our raw dog food for us.

Rooms could do with larger fridges and some basic cutlery, glasses & crockery if one wants to prep some snacks and a glass of wine in the room. Consider offering dog amenities (bowls, blankets, toys, etc) at a fee; we travel with our own but might be helpful for others. Pool area should be fenced for safety for small kids and visiting dogs. The concrete basins and the untiled showers could be refreshed. The restaurant menu is quite limited, and not ideal for a multi-night stay.

A lovely stay at the lodge, Roy and Hennie (and the dogs) were wonderful. I wish we could have stayed a week. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. It was a very relaxing oasis and could not recommend more highly.

Die Hunde 🐕, die Lage (ruhig und idyllisch), so familiär, toller Garten und wunderschöne Unterkünfte. Der Pool ist groß und toll angelegt. Das Essen ist fantastisch, eine tolle Auswahl und geschmacklich mein bestes Essen bisher in Südafrika. Wir würden immer wiederkommen und es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Лучшее место для жизни! Приехав в отель, через час решили остаться еще на сутки, так нам тут понравилось. Остались бы подольше, но отпуск заканчивается. Очень радушные хозяева. Замечательные завтраки и ужины. Собаки в отеле-просто прелесть.Смело рекомендуем к посещению.

Wonderful and relaxing stay, Len and his team bent over backwards to make our time enjoyable. Fabulous food, comfortable room, and an extremely homely ambiance. Super relaxing and will certainly be back. .

This is truly a little oasis on Route 62. Everything is perfect, the staff, the owners, the ambiance, the decoration and the food. A special note to the breakfast (totally different from what you can have normally) which makes it delicious. A place I would highly recommend.
