Tungulú - Hotel Boutique & Cabañas

I love the location and the staff. The view was simply breathtaking. A small paradise next to the city of puerto montt

New owner was an awesome host and took such good care of us! The views were spectacular and cabins had the best view of the entire lake! 10/10 would go back!

The cabins amenities and facilities can be updated and improved upon.

This place had a amazingly beautiful view of the harbor atop a hill (like the photo shows). Literally, you can just sit and look out the window forever. There was a little hike nearby by the entrance that used to be a road, which was neat. We liked the quick access down the hill. And found some good food late (9pm) by the bay about 2-miles to the right once you decend (if you get there late)! The breakfast was hand delivered at 9am (we scheduled it). The breakfast was good (meat, cheese, bread etc) and included instant coffee. Pedro was very very helpful at check-in (and spoke amazing english).

Note that I was not disappointed or upset about anything! However, the hotel's own website contained a few things that I did not know about from the booking.com page. I am including them here just incase any outside-of-Argentina people are looking at this: -There are two versions of the breakfast: free or add $5 for an upgraded sort -The hot tub must be reserved ahead of time by contacting the hotel, it includes champagne, chocolate and more. (We wanted to use the hot tub but were not able to. -You can reserve packages from the website that are still price competitive. -GETTING TO THE hotel is tricky. It is accessed by calling the hotel when you reach the closed gate at along the road by the bay. (Make sure that you have a working SIM or other means of calling the hotel when you arrive so that you can enter). The road is very steep and windy and very fun to drive on. Alternatively, and this is what happened to us, we saw the gate and skipped it since it was closed; then we followed google-maps up a back, very bumpy, very steep, very hilarious hill. That ended us up at a similar looking gate where we called. [Note, we weren't upset, it was just unexpected!]

Beautiful remote lodge with lovely views. You will need a car if staying here as there is not much around (which is part of the charm). You need to pay extra to use the hot tub, however they provided us with complimentary snacks and champagne during our hot tub booking.
