Cabinas Montesol

We had a lovely double room with a private bathroom, which was very modern and clean. We also really liked the small terrace. The location was great, and we were able to park our car right in front of the house. Since it was the off-season, the front desk was unstaffed and some minor renovations were being done, but we were able to easily reach the very friendly staff via WhatsApp. We didn’t use the shared kitchen, so I can’t comment on it.

Muy amables, muy limpio, estilo hostal plus. Muy en la onda del lugar, el baño era compartuido pero nunca nos topamos con nadie para usarlo.

During our stay, there was nobody in the reception or it was closed even if the schedule said it should be open. We arrived during the established check-in hours but nobody received us and just left the key in the door. On top of that, we had to find the cleaning person because we found mold/fungi in our bathroom door (kindly he immediately cleaned it but not the best welcoming and they should fix that door). The shared kitchen is spacious but most of the equipment was either very old/broken or dirty plus there were no basic shared ingredients such as oil or salt. The location is close to Puerto Viejo but it is still a 10 min walk that during night is not very comfortable

De locatie

Op de kleine kamer is geen koelkast. Je kunt een oude koelkast gebruiken in een gezamenlijke keuken. Wij hadden alle spullen + een koeltas in die koelkast gezet, maar de keuken gaat op slot en je kunt niet bij je spullen komen wanneer je dat wilt. Wij wilde om 7:30 uur smorgens vertrekken, maar niemand was aanwezig. Na 1 uur wachten en meerdere keren bellen en berichten versturen, zijn we zonder onze spullen vertrokken. Tot nu toe hebben we geen enkel reactie ontvangen van de accommodatie.
