Stardome Spiritual Experience

This location is magical - truly wish we had another night to just enjoy. As it was - we got to star-gaze in the Andes. It was an unforgettable experience.

The rate we were charged on site was $100 more than the rate shown on Booking.com. Not sure why there was a difference but the experience was still well worth the money.

This review is strictly for the customer service and hotel, not the views (those are incredible). Communication was very hard, everything has to be preplanned. While the Sol y Luna room was cute and had charm, our overall experience was disappointing. The biggest issue with the room was the bathroom smell—it was quite terrible and unpleasant throughout our stay. In addition, the room gets extremely hot in the morning once the sun starts shining, which made it uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the dinner experience was even more disappointing. We were told in advance that we could choose anything from the menu, but when we arrived, the server immediately tried to place soup in front of us before we had even ordered. When we explained that we hadn’t ordered yet, she reluctantly took it back. I ordered the corn cream soup and the first ceviche. A few minutes later, the server returned with quinoa soup instead, saying they didn’t have the corn soup. I explained that this was unacceptable considering the $30 price point and reiterated that I wanted what I had originally ordered. She walked away, and I assumed they would prepare the correct dish. About 50 minutes later, the ceviche finally arrived. It was extremely salty and lacked any balance—there was no sweet potato or anything to offset the saltiness, and the dry corn served with it made the dish even more underwhelming. I was still expecting the soup I ordered, but instead dessert was brought to the table. When I asked why I never received my soup, I was told it might have been “too heavy” for my stomach. As a 41-year-old woman, I can decide for myself what I want to eat, and I found that response inappropriate and frustrating. The dessert itself was also very underwhelming—small, forgettable, and nothing special at all. We spoke with another table nearby, and they shared that they had a similar experience where food was simply placed in front of them without ordering.

Une expérience personnelle désagréable, un manque catastrophique de professionnalisme de la part des équipes. On nous a installé dans une chambre, tout allait bien, on donne nos passeports (ils savent qui nous sommes donc) pour qu’ils fassent le checkin et nous leur donnons un généreux pourboire pour leur gentillesse. Première chose étonnante, on nous invite à nous reposer dans la chambre mais rien ne nous est présenté, ni les infrastructures, ni les règles relatives aux repas et aux heures de checkout, ni les modalités de déplacement vers la ville. Nous passons à table au restaurant de l’hôtel et entre l’entrée et le plat principal un membre du personnel est venu nous trouver pour nous indiquer qu’il s’était trompé et que nous devions changer de chambre. Soit, un peu déçu mais nous refaisons vite nos affaires, on nous change de chambre. La chambre n’est pas propre, des détritus sont présents et des cheveux un peu partout. Le lendemain matin au petit déjeuner, on nous informe qu’ils se sont encore trompés et qui faut changer une nouvelle fois de chambre. Nous refaisons nos bagages pour la 2ème fois et nous voilà dans une chambre sans vue. Pour se faire pardonner, on nous propose une bière le soir. Le lendemain au moment du départ, les bières étaient bien notées et à payer sur la facture. Dernière phrase assassine de notre hôte : « vous voulez donner un pourboire? ». Je suis resté interdit face à l’audace. Considérant le prix payé je trouve que la qualité du service est déplorable et absolument pas au rendez vous. C’est dommage vu l’emplacement idyllique et la vue à couper le souffle.

De não ter a possibilidade de disponibilizar um lanche para os hóspedes que saem cedo (antes do serviço do café da manhã), considerando que muitos saem cedo para pegar o trem para Machu picchu.

Un lugar excepcional. Vistas increíble. Distinto a todo lo que veníamos viendo en Perú. Con un espacio espiritual hermoso de visitar. Una vista del valle junto a un hermoso fuego de estufa a leña.
