Sneeuberg Nature Reserve

Awesome Karoo farm house accommodation in the middle of the breathtaking Karoo landscape! Renovated old Karoo farm house with generous rooms. Accommodation and facilities were all superb with everything one would need for a weekend or longer stay. Bedding and beds were great. Quiet, clean, well maintained and well kept. Lovely expansive Karoo landscape to area to hike or bike in. We will definitely we back for longer!

No electrical backup for load shedding.

An unforgettable experience at the Karoo cottage. The friendly staff, flowers and gifts made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the stoep while looking out on the reserve. The unit is fully equipped and caters for all your needs. The avid Braai master will be happy with the large fireplace, utensils and wood provided. We loved our stay and especially enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Thank you to all at Sneeuberg for going the extra mile and making our stay so memorable.

We drove from Nieu-Bethesda side after site seeing. Not recommended if you do not have a vehicle capable of off road use. The road from Middelburg is much easier. Keep in mind that loadshedding will still find you here. The cottage has candles and lanterns to use however take more rechargeable lights.

A beautiful, cosy, quirky house.

We didn’t realise how far it was from Nieu Bethesda - a long way on gravel roads and signage not great.

Peaceful and quiet. Loadshedding helped us to disconnect digitally too! Beautiful Blue Cranes. Awesome game viewing. We loved cycling on the trails and awesome views. Pristine dark skies. The linen was superb too.

Came across some old rusted wire on the cycling trails here and there. Getting the shower to the right temperature was a bit fiddly.
