Quiet and away from the city, great hosts/owners, super friendly and flexible!

Good breakfast with avocados from the garden and fresh papaya and/or banana juice, you can use the kitchen, nice corner terrace with a view of the valley, hosts are very welcoming and helpful, providing info on treks and other activities, rather big room, nicely decorated with mountain view and comfortable beds, pet friendly, nice garden to walk around, parking space, quiet at night, options for evening dinner at the place are available, convenient to tour the region.

You need a car or use taxis to get to city centre (not walking distance), shed outside the house could be made look better, hot water flow a bit on the low side but acceptable, path to drive up with the car a bit rough (but no more than a lot of the roads around :-))

I had a wonderful time at Fundo San Silvestre. Rose and Rogel are perfect hosts, knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and generous. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, home-cooked with local ingredients, fruits and avocado freshly picked from their garden. The rooms are clean and luminous, with balconies from which one can see the sun rising over the Cordillera Blanca.
