Rhino Creek Estate

There was no fridge, microwave and iron. I feel that these are basic things that is a must for a comfortable stay.

Nothing.

When we arrived at the lodge, we were greeted with a very unfriendly and uninterested lady at reception. We told her we had a booking made under our surname, she then proceeded to give us the room's key. We booked the family room and this room was definately not the room we booked on booking.com. After a long flight and then drive from Jhb, we wanted to take an afternoon nap, but the guests were so noisy, blasting their music and shouting. We then preceded to get ready for the wedding, only to find that there was no hot water. Upon our return from the wedding, we stopped infront of the gate of the lodge, only to realise that the remote the lady at reception gave us did not work and we were completely stranded outside of the gate. We had to use our car's horn to wake other guests up just so that we could access our belongings. So after receiving the wrong room, being bothered by extremely noisy guests, having to take a cold shower and then being locked out of the lodge in the middle of the night, we simply had enough and packed our things. We have never experienced service this bad, please, please do not book with Rhino Creek, ever! It is a nightmare staying there.

The place was nice, comfortable beds and friendly staff.

The fridge wasn't working and had a horrible smell. Had no hot water as the staff didn't switch on the geyser until we left for our next destination. The road is horrible

The location was nice

The service was poor, the room was dirty we even had spider waps in our drowers. Side lamps had no bulbs, room had no curtains, the shower and bath taps were falling off even the bath tub stopper couldn't keep the water , they have a pool but it's not in a condition, it was dirty. No electricity back up power.

Quietness of the resort

Like the place and the location.

The television wasn't working and there's no refrigerator to put our drinks in. The door was transparent with no blinds nor curtains.
