Tanzanice Farm Lodge

Very welcoming staff. Speak very good English. Warm welcome with juice and hot towels. The room is big, with good big beds and nice bathroom with hot shower. The place is very quiet. We loved the our terrace to relax in the evening. We had half board and it was excellent the food. Very healthy and good taste. Dinner was 3 courses and breakfast was also excellent. That went beyond the way with making gluten free and lactose free bread, wraps they always asked what we would like to eat. Best food on our trip in Kenya and Tanzania. It's a perfect place to rest before and after your safari. We stayed here in total 3 night's. The location Karatu is the best if you want to go to Ngorongoro Consevation Area (NCA) or Serengeti. it's only 30 minutes to NCA. Karatu is the last town before NCA so good to go to the supermarket and get fuel. Karatu is a nice place to walk around and nice restaurant (Lilac café). The Lodge also provides 3 nice tours. We did one tour with a visit to the hospital. It was a unforgettable experience. Thanks once again for the wonderful stay! Mathias & Nanet

Wifi doesn't work. We advice to buy a Tanzanian sim card.

I truly enjoyed this "home away from home setting". The lobby reminds one more of a cozy living room where we also had our delicious meals. The staff was very gracious and accomodated us greatly. We were able to arrange a safari through the owner, Luc, as well as transport to and from Kilmanjaro airport ( about 4 hours). Everything went smoothly and there were no hidden fees. Did I mention that the food was delicious.....😋

Very nice place with a little bit of a view from the hill. Food was excellent and the people generally very nice.

Be aware that if you are coming with a driver there are no options for him/her to stay within the premises.

Convince location

The staff was excellent. They were helpful, respectful, and friendly. The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. The property was also beautiful and the information provided about the farm and area was informative and very helpful. The family style dining was also an excellent touch. we loved it!

The showers in some rooms did not have hot water that lasted long and it did not get very hot.
