Weltevreden Country Guest Lodge

Spacious, well maintained, comfortable, beautiful trees and just the perfect stop over just minutes before the Botswana border. Petra and Pieter were such great hosts but the best part for me was the availability of a vegan dinner and breakfast. My husband eats everything but I eat a plant based diet and it can be a real challenge in out of the way places but Petra considered everything even leaving almond milk on our fridge. I am so grateful for this attention to detail and being fed like a queen! We even had vegan banana bread for padkos! This place is such a gem ❤️

Dinner was great. Stay was comfortable.

The setting was beautiful, with wildlife all around and top-notch facilities and hosts. Every was clean and neat in a remote and secluded location.

A reminder that when visiting remote locations, that you need to take precautions. When picking up the pillow, a spider fell out and there were bats in the roof. Nothing some minor bug spray and shaking out the bedding could not cure.

A friendly welcoming stay on the way to Bots. Had a lovely evening there.

We were welcomed by a heartwarming friendly Petra. Dinner was outstanding. Lovely spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Phenomenal. The hosts are so friendly and the dinner they prepared was lovely. The garden is a bird watchers paradise.

From my arrival to leaving, the hosts were fantastic. The food at dinner and breakfast the following morning was like really eating at home and better.
