The staff of the hotel are the best part of it: they are great, with a smile all the day trying to be kind and to help. On the other hand it is 15 mins by car to the airport, so the distance is great if you are going to spent some night hours around

We rented two rooms, one for my daughters and another for me and my wife. They were dirty, spots on the sheets, lack of cleanliness in the bathroom, and dozens of mosquitoes, probably more inside than outside the hotel. Its a pity because I think they are great people and with a little interest and some soap they can make the hotel much more comfortable

I only needed one night's accommodation before going on a tour, so the location was perfect. It is about 15 mins drive from Kilimanjaro Airport, just off the main road. I was worried about the noise from the traffic but there was very little at night time, but take some earplugs just in case. You get what you pay for but the room was clean, the shower hot and the beer cold. The WiFi is a bit patchy but the charming staff were happy to reset it. Don't forget that you are in rural Africa. I had chicken and chips for dinner which was tasty and cooked to order. I was travelling on my own but always felt safe. I did pre-book a taxi from the airport but unfortunately there was no one to meet me but there are lots of taxi drivers at the airport wearing the same blue t-shirt. Find the man with the clipboard (he came to me) and negotiate a price. I paid $15 to the Rainbow which was half the price as the pre-booked taxi. I asked the same driver to pick me up the next day, he arrived 5 minutes early and I gave him $20 on the way back to the airport.

Just manage your own expectations. It isn't the Ritz !

We picked this for the proximity to the airport as we had an early morning flight. The staff was excellent. Felix was great! The accommodations were clean.

The lodge is simple, nothing fancy. I don't think I would stay here for an extended period, but for a brief stay & close to the airport it was perfect

Located near the Kilimanjaro International Airport, we found it very convenient to spend one night (as part of a layover, so to say). We booked 5 double rooms in total and they each had a private bathroom including hot water shower. The host was very kind and made sure everything was fine constantly. The rooms were all very clean. I think it's a great choice if you need to spend the night near the Airport. And they answer to messages via Booking.com rather quickly!

On the description they mention that they can arrange cars to/from the airport for 15USD. We needed 2 cars since we were a party of 10 + luggage. They told us the price would be 20USD per car instead. I'd like to remark that this was AGREED BEFOREHAND, so it wasn't really an important issue for us.
