Bend in the River Lodge

Amazing location, absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The hosts were very thorough at explaining everything in detail. We would definitely return in the future. Our children loved being by the river, a lovely relaxing break and the added bonus of having great weather.

We liked everything! The lodge was immaculate, very comfortable and lots of personal touches which makes it very homey. A very tranquil setting with beautiful views over the river and fields. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Thank you!

We loved the location, literally at the bend in the river!Loved the space and facilities. I must admit to being a little concerned as we had come from a huge place, but if you do as Rob and Denny do and stay tidy and organised it’s easy to stay in the lodge. The living room is comfortable with a huge t.v, excellent for hubby to watch football and tennis. He found himself more than a little distracted by the view however. The river, the swans, ducks and geese are the closest neighbours. The lodge has everything necessary for a great stay! The convenience store is incredibly convenient, right next door to the Crown pub which does a stellar Sunday lunch. The water taxi is a great facility, however it’s only about a fifteen/twenty minute walk to Stratford along Tiddington Road.

Beautiful location,incredible views, homely, plenty of cooking utensils; crockery,glasses etc, comfortable beds, en-suite shower. Being allowed to check in early and excellent information given from the owner.

Instead of a washing machine, a dishwasher would be more useful, but realise this is also the owners accommodation. I am visually impaired so found the steps from the lodge a little tricky due to their colour. Only a suggestion but white lines painted along the edge of the steps would help with this.
