Een ruime kamer met mooie douche. De buitenruimte is heel mooi aangelegd en bij zwembad is het goed te vertoeven. Pooltafel en pingpongtafel zijn leuk. Ook kan je gebruik maken van wat bekers, koffie/thee/bestek etc.

Het echte centrum moet je heen rijden. Maar zijn genoeg restaurants in de buurt.

Proche de la ville, bon petit déjeuner avec des jus de fruits mixés, bon accueil et le réfrigérateur dans la chambre

Lo mejor del sitio es Milady, la responsable. Es atenta, resolutiva y amable. Nos explicó todo lo que podíamos hacer en la zona, nos reservó los tours e incluso nos resolvió un incidente. También nos gustó mucho los animales que se pueden ver en el lugar durante el desayuno, fue un gustazo. Aprovecho para dar las gracias a nuestro guía en la Reserva de Monteverde, Mauricio, que contratamos por medio del sitio. Gracias a él por llevarnos hasta el Quetzal, fue una experiencia inolvidable.

La habitación estándar es bastante pequeña, también las camas lo son para una pareja, sonaba la estructura al moverte y no eran del todo cómodas. La habitación tiene un frigorífico pero no tiene ninguna mesa ni nada donde dejar cosas, salvo encima del frigorífico. Lo mismo en el baño. Está cerca el mariposario pero no tanto el supermercado más cercano.

Man wird bei der Bezahlung bewusst abgezockt, indem der laut Buchungsbestätigung geschuldete Dollarbetrag zu einem utopisch schlechten Wechselkurs in die einheimische Währung umgerechnet und dann von der Kreditkarte abgebucht wird, ohne dass einem die Wahl zwischen Dollar und einheimischer Währung eingeräumt wird. Im Ergebnis hat sich der Preis damit um fasst 10 % erhöht. Leider ist uns das erst nach der Abbuchung aufgefallen und selbstverständlich wurde eine Erstattung des Mehrbetrages verweigert mit dem Argument, es handele sich halt um einen „hauseigenen Umrechnungskurs“. Aus unserer Sicht eine bewusste Abzocke!

The staff are friendly. The location is good, but a car is advantageous. The breakfast has some choices available plus fruit and coffee, all good; one morning we were able to watch a cute agouti from our breakfast spot too.

There was a persistent odour in our room throughout our stay. We never found the source of this but no matter how much we ventilated we never got rid of it. On our first night, we found a scorpion in our bathroom. To be clear, you should understand you are staying in a forest and sometimes you will find these, so that's fine. However, I think one should expect to be able to immediately contact staff to ask for assistance to remove them, but when I tried to contact them (it admittedly was around midnight) I couldn't reach them and had to wait until breakfast to find someone to tell. Once they were informed, they promptly removed the scorpion. Needless to say we had a nervous night and dared not use the bathroom. I am not great with these things but I did muster enough courage to trap it under a glass eventually we gave some minor relief. The room was VERY basic..only one side of the bed had a bedside table, no bedside lights at all, the fridge had seen better days and showed clear signs of rust. In general everything seemed very dated and could really do with updating. There also was no hair dryer. We ordered taxis for two of the activities over our stay. The first one we paid Milady directly, $40 for a 10min drive (out+return), the second time we paid the driver directly who charged also $40 for a 20min drive (also out+return AND the driver waited 2hrs for us at the location). We felt comparing this seemed dodgy and can't help wondering if we got scammed with the first ride
